The idea of taking an infant to Disney World can be daunting, but with a little fore-knowledge, it is totally doable. In this 4-part series, I’ll go over the basics of baby care at WDW and some tips and tricks from some moms who make it look easy.

Part 1: Feeding

Let’s face it, feeding is pretty much the the main event for babies, and it can be a source of frustration even on your home turf with nothing unusual going on. So trying to take the show on the road is a big deal. Luckily, Disney has put some measures in place to try to make things easier on parents.

Baby Care Centers

Located in each park is a special place that most guests won’t ever visit and many don’t even know exists. Sponsored by Huggies (so you know there’s gonna be some diapers for sale) are Baby Care Centers where you can go to, well, take care of your baby.

Disney Baby Care Center at Magic Kingdom

You can nurse or bottle feed your baby anywhere you feel comfortable at Disney, but if you’d like to get out of the hubbub and relax in a climate controlled space while you do so, you’ll want to try out the Baby Care Centers.

The Baby Care Centers are well stocked. You can purchase diapers, wipes, formula and baby food, over the counter meds, sunscreen and even clothing and other baby doo-dads like pacifiers.

Disney's Baby Care Center at Magic Kingdom

There is a kitchen with a microwave and sink where you can prepare food or bottles. You can feed your baby at a high chair or relax in the main room where there are tables and chairs, a sofa and even a TV. Or use a rocking chair in the private nursing room.

You can change baby here too – there are multiple changing tables. Or if you’re potty training (or if you need to use the loo yourself) there is a unisex bathroom. They have really thought of everything!

If you think you’ll need to pump your breast milk while on vacation, you can do that at the Baby Care Centers as well. They won’t be able to store your milk for you, but they can give you more ice for your cooler.

A travel sized pump in a bag with a cooler section should be enough to keep the milk cool until you get back to your room. I love this one that can be worn as a backpack or like a tote bag:

Or this one that comes in 4 colors
