Making Disney Dining Reservations

An Overview

Disney Dining Reservations Overview

For many of us, dining is a very important part of a great vacation. This is no different at Disney World. In fact, they have some really fantastic restaurants. Over 100 different dining establishments are located throughout Disney’s 4 parks, 2 water parks, 20 resorts and Disney Springs. There is something for every taste and every budget (well, almost every budget).

If you would like to eat most or all of your meals at your resort’s food court and the quick service locations at the parks, no preplanning is required. The locations are plentiful, there is a good variety of cuisine, and the portions are large. Pricing is pretty decent (better than most other theme parks or tourist destinations I’ve been to) – figure about $10-$13 for a meal, plus a few bucks for a drink.

If you’d like to incorporate some sit-down meals (table service, in Disney-speak) into your vacation, you’ll need to plan ahead. All character meals are at table service restaurants, by the way. Due to the increased popularity of Disney’s table service restaurants, you really must have a reservation. In fact, you’ll want to make these reservations WAY in advance. They can be made up to 180 days in advance. And many of the most popular choices will book up months before your stay. So don’t delay!

Dining reservations can be made on your My Disney Experience account or by calling 407-WDW-DINE. If you make them by phone, you’ll need to enter the confirmation numbers manually into your My Disney Experience account. I typically make the dining reservations for my clients (because why get up at 4:45 am if you don’t have to?) so contact me if you’d like to take advantage of this free service.
